Lisa Burke
Lisa Burke (born 4 February 1977) is an Irish weather forecaster.
==Background==
Lisa lived in Killeshin, near the town of Carlow, in County Laois, Ireland and attended primary school there before moving to London with her family.〔(Stars in the sky at Lisa's wedding ) Laois Nationalist, 16 December 2004〕 Her father is Tony Burke, a former goalkeeper for Laois.〔
Lisa studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, specialising in chemistry, graduated with a first class degree and was ranked second in the university.〔 She gave up the opportunity to do a Ph.D. with Professor Darren Dixon to work at Sky News.〔
Lisa has spent the bulk of her career in science communication through television work and writing. She is also a passionate singer.
